Search
SABCommand has full bookmarks support. This gives you the ability to add your favorite sites for quick access.
To add a bookmark:
1. Navigate to the site you wish to add.
2. Tap on the bookmark icon.
3. Tap the "new" button.
4. Enter the name of the new bookmark.
To recall the bookmarks, simply tap the bookmark icon and tap the site you wish to load. You can change an existing bookmark by tapping the blue disclosure icon to the right of it.
Homepage Button
The default homepage is Google. You can change the homepage to a page of your choice by navigating to that page, then holding the homepage button for a few seconds (until an alert appears).
Manually Add NZB
1. Add URL from Clipboard
Tap this to attempt to add a URL from the clipboard. This may be useful when you need to copy a link that was emailed or instant messaged to you.
2. Add by Newzbin ID
This gives you the ability to add items specifically from Newzbin using the 5 character NB32 ID or the 7 character Report ID. Simply enter the ID and tap Send to Queue.
Load SABnzbd+ Web Interface
This button is located at the top left of the "search" view and is preconfigured to quickly load the SABnzbd+ web interface.
Note: If you have web authentication enabled in SABnzbd+ then this will only work if you have specified a username and password on the Settings tab.
Status Bar
The Status Bar at the bottom of the web browser will display the current server details provided from SABnzbd. This information will be updated as specified by the refresh interval setting.
You can swipe left or right on the status bar to switch between available servers.
The red/yellow/green lights on the left indicate whether an NZB was found on the page when you are downloading by file (instead of link).
Queue
Swiping a queue item gives you the following options:
Delete
Pause
Resume
Move to top of queue
Move to bottom of queue
Long tap a queue item and you will see additional information and have the option to tap a detail to change it (like the title or category).
Server Controls
This group of controls allows you to set the speed limit, pause and resume the SABnzbd queue and restart the SABnzbd server.
Warnings
History
Settings
Nickname
This field allows you to give each server a unique name to make distinguishing them fast and simple. (i.e. Family iMac, File Server, NAS)
Server Address and Port
The server address (or domain name if accessing from outside your local network) is the first piece of required information. Also required is the port number in the box after the colon. You can find this information in SABnzbd+ under the General tab in the Config.
API Key
If the SABnzbd+ server you are connecting to has the API key setting enabled (this is the default setting) then the API key is a required field.
Otherwise, you only need to specify a username and password. You can find your API key in SABnzbd+ under the General tab in the Config.
NOTE: If you have authentication enabled for the web interface then you MUST provide the username and password in order for the "SABnzbd+ Interface" button to work regardless of whether you have using API key authentication or not.
HTTPS Support
If you have HTTPS enabled in SABnzbd+, enable this option and be sure to change the port to the correct HTTPS port at the top.
Selected Server
The selected server option allows you to quickly switch between SABnzbd+ servers. This is only applicable to users who have more than 1 SABnzbd+ server to monitor.
Fetch API Key
You can have SABCommand fetch your SABnzbd+ API Key for the current server so you don't have to type it in or copy it. Just enter all the other settings, then tap the "Fetch API Key" button.
-------Global Settings-------
Refresh Time
This setting will control how often the information will be refreshed from SABnzbd+. This is a global setting for all servers.
Password Protection
This option will enable a password login screen upon app launch to keep prying eyes away from your queue.
Slow Network Warnings
By default, SABCommand will warn you if it can't find a network connection or if you are on a slow network connection (like EDGE). You can turn off this behavior with this option.
NZB Add Method
You can add NZBs to your queue by link or by file. Sending by file is somewhat more compatible with a broader range of indexing sites. However, sending by file is often slower and it isn't great at guessing the name of the NZB you are trying to add. Sending by link is less compatible overall, but the most common indexing sites are 100% supported. Sending by link is faster and often guesses the name of the NZB perfectly.
NOTE: When sending by file, just tap the link that leads to the NZB you want to add. When sending by link, you need to HOLD the link that leads to the NZB you want to add.
More
The more tab allows you to view/clear/email the logs from the app and visit various related sites.
The logs are interesting, but probably not valuable to regular users. This feature is excellent for troubleshooting though. Just email the logs directly to the developer if you are having an issue (please include a brief description of the problem as well!).
You can also visit the documentation for the app, the bug tracking system, or the official twitter page from this tab.
